about me
Infrastructure and Security Engineer based in Leeds, UK.
I'm Luke Rawnsley — I run a 1,500-endpoint, 78-site Azure/hybrid estate day-to-day, looking after Intune, Defender, Purview and the SIEM stack. Evenings and weekends I build cloud, CI/CD and AI security tooling from a homelab and push it to GitHub.
My main projects right now are Certeli (certification exam prep), CV Human (AI-powered CV builder), and CrossFit Trainer (RX-level training platform). Between them they cover my interests in education, career development, and fitness.
On the infrastructure side I work across Azure (VMs, Automation Accounts, Blob Storage, Conditional Access), Hyper-V, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, Purview DLP, and SentinelOne. On the dev side it's Next.js, FastAPI, self-hosted PostgreSQL, GitHub Actions CI/CD, Cloudflare, Vercel, and bare-metal VPS with Docker and PM2.
I'm working through certifications as I go — Security+, A+, MS-102, MD-102 so far, with AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) next on the list. Building Certeli has given me hands-on knowledge of what makes exam prep effective from both sides of the table.
Outside of work I'm into CrossFit, good design, and building things that last.
